Your new teeth are worth showing off

The most well-known prosthesis is the denture. But a denture can also be the replacement for a few missing teeth. The prostheses that our dental technician makes fit exactly in your mouth, as if they were your own teeth. This allows you to smile broadly without a care in the world, because no one can see that you are wearing false teeth.

Why dentures?

If you have lost teeth due to an accident, hereditary condition or tooth decay, this not only causes problems with eating. It also affects your self-confidence. A well-fitting denture will give you back that beautiful smile.

Carefully crafted in 7 steps

To ensure that your prosthesis fits perfectly, the dentist and dental technician work closely together. This is how it works:

  1. The dentist makes an impression of your own teeth.
  2. The dental technician uses this impression to make a plaster model and then a synthetic resin model.
  3. The dentist places this model in your mouth to see how it fits your jaws.
  4. The dentist adjusts the model so that the dental technician knows exactly how the teeth should fit together.
  5. The dental technician makes a trial prosthesis.
  6. The dentist will place the trial prosthesis in your mouth so that you can feel how it fits and looks.
  7. The dental technician prepares the prosthesis for use.

Suffering from painful spots?

That is very normal to experiece discomfort, because you need to get used to wearing dentures. Do not walk around with painful spots in your mouth (pressure points), because we can solve those very easily. Feel free to make an appointment.

Annual inspection

Even if you do not have any problems, it is important to come for a check-up once a year. We will then check the fit of the dentures and your oral and gum health.

Tips to keep your dentures clean:

  • Clean the dentures daily.
Use special cleaning agents and a (denture) brush for this. No toothpaste, that is too abrasive.
  • Rinse the dentures after cleaning.
  • Brush your jaw and tongue with a regular toothbrush.
  • Store your dentures in clean water when not wearing.
